Office12 is Now Officially “Office 2007”

After a long period of time Microsoft has officially named the next version of office which was code named Office12 in and is under development is now Office 2007.  Office 2007 will be released at the end of this year and according to Microsoft will have a greatest impact ever the Office users.  It has bunch of new features added by working on customer feedback.  There are 13 new Office 2007 offerings in the mix, including a Groove collaboration server and services; three new desktop SKUs; three new Office servers; and a new Enterprise Client Access License (CAL). Pricing for Office 2007, which, despite its name, is still expected to ship by year-end 2006, is expected to remain about the same as current Office pricing, Microsoft says.  Just for information Office 2007 will have retail price of 419$ and the upgrade price will be 329.  Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Access, InfoPath and Publisher will be part of Office 2007.  Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, Microsoft Office Project Portfolio Server, Microsoft Small business server, Microsoft content management server (ECM), Microsoft Project 2007 is all part of Office 2007 and Office 2007 Server Suit.
